LOCAL PUBS/RESTAURANTS

The Ship on the sea front, (diagonally across the park towards the children’s play area and car park then turn right) serves good quality food either in the bar or restaurant. It allows dogs into the garden and bar area only. It has its own dedicated fish and chip shop 'The Catch' Telephone 01263 722671. 

The Royal Hotel (Past the Ship heading east and around the corner) has a rustic bar, allows dogs and serves good portions. 

We now have 3 fish and chip shops! (One in the centre of the village near the Post Office Fish and Fry currently closed) The Village Chippy by the Manor Hotel on the sea front(01263 720565)
There is a new fish and chip establishment beside The Ship pub  called The Catch 01263 722671

The Chinese is open Tuesday to Sunday and is a five-minute walk from the house. Head to the sea front along the High Street, turn left and walk past the Haig where the Chinese is alongside. 01263 722828

The Haig is a local’s place, open to temporary members and serves cheap beer! 

The Vernon Arms in Southrepps is well worth a visit just over 5 minutes in the car or around a 4-mile walk serves excellent food in a traditional pub environment.  (Please check on the Covid status as it was only accepting locals with proof of local residency).

More upmarket restaurants can be found at The Gunton Arms (Closed until the 17th May) in Thorpe Market, it is a one-thousand-acre deer park established in the eighteenth century, ( 01263 832010) and The Ingham Swan ( 01692 581099). Bookings essential. 
The Suffield Arms in Thorpe Market has recently opened. It is a Tapas restaurant with Pasta and Pizza offerings. It has a traditional pub bar and a cosy cocktail bar upstairs.  Bookings essential. 01263 586858

NO1 Fish and Chip restaurant in Cromer is very popular, walk in only.

Rocky Bottoms has reopened in West Runton just outside Cromer it is walk in only with limited hours. It specialises in fresh fish and highly rated.
